I am just trying to figure out how to live justly in the world, and find that my food choices are a profound way to do just that. While I'm waiting for the soup to cook, or the bread to rise, I've got a book in front of me! This is my spot to record my journey through the foods and books that sustain me.
A State of Wonder, Ann Patchet. I don't know why it took me so long to finally read this book. I was captivated, totally swept up by the plot. Now that I'm done, I can't stop thinking about the ethical dilemnas of the novel, and how she keeps going between personal and community ethics.
A Traitor to Memory, Elizabeth George. My favorite Inspector Linley novel yet
One Fifth Avenue, Candace Bushnell. One of those "guilty pleasure" reads, as you watch the rich and beautiful implode.
Devil's Star, Jo Nesbo. This author is just great!
14. All Fall Down, Megan Hart. I'll read more by her.
13. The Face Thief, Eli Gottlieb. Disturbing story of a woman who destroys the lives of three men. Ick!
Mallory's Oracle, Carol O'Connell. Crime drama, very good
Paper Towns, John Green, YA, best one yet!
10. Missing Joseph, Elizabeth George. Continuing the Inspector Linley series.
9. The Snowman, Jo Nesbo. I like that you think you've got the crime solved, and then...!
My 2011 Book List
73. A Fatal Grace, Louise Penny
My 2010 Book List.
77. Chasing Harry Winston, Lauren Weisberger. fun read, nothing special.
